My family and I recently had the pleasure of staying at Sumengen during our vacation in Istanbul, and it truly felt like a welcoming "home, away from home." As an art historian, I deeply appreciate Turkey's architectural heritage, and staying in an old Turkish house like Sumengen added an extra layer of cultural charm to our trip. The staff, from the receptionists to the cleaning crew, were not only attentive and accommodating but also genuinely happy to interact with us and our daughter.One highlight for my family was the spacious family room we stayed in, which provided ample space for all of us to relax comfortably. The setting was clean and well-maintained, and the breakfast spread offered a variety of options to satisfy everyone's tastebuds. The rooftop breakfast room provided a stunning view over the Bosphorus, creating a memorable start to each day of our stay.Sumengen encapsulates the perfect blend of historical charm, family-friendly amenities, and warm hospitality, making it an excellent choice for families looking to immerse themselves in Istanbul's rich cultural tapestry.
